I run my test by starting a commandline to render a scene, observe the memory usage, stop the render and then swap Forester versions. But it doesn't help to keep telling me how it works on yours and how I can optimize the scene. It must be something on my system and that is why I am asking for some help on these forums. Honestly, I don't know why your system works and mine doesn't. Every other version since then maxes out the memory and I have to dump out of it before it crashes my system. On my system, if I render this scene with 121 it uses between 35-50% memory and renders fairly quickly. It's like you disregard what I am writing. I appreciate your reply 3DQuakers, but this is the same thing I went through with your support before. With the new versions of Forester coming out I'm hoping someone here has found a fix for this so I can move on. This has happened with all versions of Octane, including the new ver 4 RC4.Īnd yes, I can optimize the scenes, but then they don't look like what I initially created. So I can simply swap Forester versions and restart the render to test. But he was ignoring the fact that the very same scene would render fine on 121 (using only about 30% of the system memory), while any version after that would climb until the system ran out of memory. I traded emails with the developer a while back but he simply kept saying I needed to optimize my scene. All versions since then cause my memory to climb to 100% during rendering, where C4D or my system will then lock up. Forester rock is providing the UVs for user-created seamless textures. Here is the problem: The last version of Forester that worked fine for me was version 121. Seamless textures are wrapped around the rock with no visible seams. User can use all 3 or a combination to achieve the desired effect. Rocks have 3 deformation levels, each providing a different noise pattern. Rocks are created as procedural objects with many functions to allow for realistic rock planting. No other plant creation tool comes close to the realism and ease of use of the HyperWind technology that Forester offers for its trees and plants. User created trees and plants can be saved into the Cinema 4D preset library for later use. Even spacing and distribution bias give extra control over clone arrangement.įorester’s streamlined workflow enables the user to create trees from scratch or start from a tree library item and end up with a beautiful tree in no time.įorester’s tree library is versatile enough to satisfy most needs. MultiCloner’s distribution controls allow for artistic as well as realistic placement of clones. MultiCloner’s geological filtering rules allow for clones to be filtered according to slope, height, camera frustum, noise functions and weight maps. Scatter hundreds of thousands of objects with ease using Forester’s MultiCloner, combining ease of use with ultimate control. Plants react to wind just as trees do, to create an immersive natural environment that just comes to life Any plant imaginable can be created with Multiflora Multiflora comes with an extensive plant library ranging from grass, to wheat and flowers. Multiflora - Feature Overview Procedural PlantsĪ procedural plant is an editable object that can be turned into an unlimited number of plants using specific parameters and rules. Forester is one of the best and most successful Cinema 4D plugins because it offers a completely procedural solution to environment creation all within the familiar Cinema 4D workspace. Forester is comprised of 4 modules, namely Forester Trees, Multiflora, MultiCloner and Forester Rock. Forester is a plugin for Maxon Cinema 4D that provides tools for the creation of natural elements such as trees, plants, rocks, as well as their geological distribution over polygonal terrain.
